Topps Allen and Ginter is one of the hottest new baseball card sets from Topps. Topps Allen and Ginter cards feature current players on cards that mimic the vintage 1880's Allen and Ginter baseball card designs. The first Topps Allen & Ginter set was released in 2006.

The 2009 Allen & Ginter set has a scheduled release date of July 1st, and will feature a slightly modified design. For the first time, there will be a border on the front of the base cards. There will be new and unique insert sets such as "Creatures of Legend, Myth & Terror", "World Biggest Hoaxes, Hoodwinks and Bamboozles", and a Michael Phelps auto subset that includes some one of one cards signed in real gold! 2009 Allen & Ginter should be another amazing set. Topps Allen and Ginter Insert Cards
Rip Cards: A full sized card with an exclusive mini card inside of it.The cards inside of the rip cards are only found in rip cards. The rip cards are serial numbered, some as low as #/10 and up to #/250.
Printing Plate Cards: Printing plate cards are models of the actual metallic card used to create the Allen and Ginter cards from. They are very rare, with each one being serial numbered 1 of 1.
Wood Cards: Parallel cards of the base set printed on wood. There is also an extended set, numbers 351-400, which are only found inside of rip cards. The wood cards are also each serial numbered 1 of 1.
Cloth Cards: Cloth cards are versions of the mini cards that are printed on silk cloth. Each Topps Allen & Ginter cloth card is serial numbered out of 10.
Mini Cards: Topps Allen and Ginter mini cards are a parallel set of the full sized cards, and they come in several varieties. There are regular mini cards, mini cards with no number on the back, mini cards with an Allen & Ginter ad on the back and mini cards with black borders.In addition to the mini parallel cards that correspond to the 350 cards in the set, there are also subsets of mini cards including a wide variety of subjects such as Roman emperors, deadly snakes, deadly sharks, world leaders, historical flying machines, baseball icons, historical icons and more. The many types of mini cards are one of the things that makes the Allen and Ginter sets so unique and popular.
Relic Cards: Topps Allen and Ginter relic cards include a piece of game used jersey or bat material in them. While each relic card is uncommon, some A&G relic cards are short printed and are harder to find than other Allen and Ginter relic cards.
